Zabars Cheese Videos #3

March 12, 2010

The Lady and I continue to explore more cheese video from Zabars and their Cheesemonger, Leah. Here are two more that we wanted to share with you:

First up: French cheeses fit to be considered royalty. On this cheese board Leah introduces Epoisses (one of this Feline Foodie’s favorites), a wonderful Camembert; Le Cornilly, a goat cheese from the Loire region of France; Comte, one of the GREAT French cheeses and Bleu de Basque, a Sheep’s milk cheese from the Basque region (this cheese is made from thermalized milk (heated) and is therefore technically made from raw milk.

This second video is titled “Lap of Luxury” because these cheeses will make you feel like a million bucks without breaking the bank. Included on this plate are Sainte Maure Caprifeuille, a traditional French goat’s milk cheese; Delice d’Argental Petit, a triple creme made in a smaller size for 1 or 2 persons; Ubriaco Moscato, an Italian cheese washed with the wine of the region and Roncal, A Spanish Artisan Cheese made from raw sheep’s milk:

A special thanks to Leah and Zabar’s for taking the time to share these cheeses and knowledge with us.
